3rd Trimester

If you have/had unbearable crotch pressure, come in....

I feel like the baby is literally going to fall out when I stand up.  The pressure is unbearable and worsens throughout the day.  I called the doc and they said to put my feet up (quite easy with 19 month old).  This has been going on 3 days and I cannot live 5 weeks more this way (I don't want the baby to come any earlier than that either!).  Can anyone suggest anything to make it stop????? Does anyone else have this pain? I have tried googling, but that just scares me.  I have no contrax or bleeding or other problems, so the doc isn't yet concerned, but I feel like I can't do anything!

  • I'm going through this same thing.  It's hurts to walk sometimes.  Some days it's not so bad and other days it's really awful.

The only thing I can say is that my doctor said it's perfectly normal.  The baby's head is pushing against the pelvis and getting ready for birth.

Just try to take it easy and sit as much as possible.  I'm sure already having a little one doesn't make that very easy!

  • I'm 35wks prego and this happened to me like a month ago; i literally put a mirror down there just to make sure nothing was sticking out!!

My doc said to put my feet up to, then I asked him if he was going to come and take my of my 3yr old, he gave me a few other suggestions which helped.

baths (i put some epison salt in), and I also got an ice pack (like they give you in the hospital after you have the baby); also i started drinking double the water.

The pain did stop and havent' had it since..good luck!

  • I've been having it off an on.  I'm not sure if the baby is even head down yet, sometimes I wonder if it is sticking its foot on my crotch to torment me.  My doctor said it is a normal joy of pregnancy.  It makes me realize just how uncomfortable actual labor is going to be.

My son was breech (frank- feet at earlobes) and I never had this with him, and I was hoping to never feel labor as I have a scheduled c/s since DS was a c/s too.... guess I am just paying for it ahead of time!

  • I sit on an exercise ball & it seems to help. I mean it only feels good while sitting on it, but it definitly takes the edge off. Good luck = )
