How to introduce a pacifier?

DS really likes to suck and I think he would like a pacifier.  I EBF so I was going to wait 4 weeks to give him one but my pedi said she thought it would be fine if I introduced one now.  I tried to give him one the other night but he just kept spitting it right out.  Does anyone have any tips on how to get LO to take a pacifier?  TIA!!

    i ebf too and i introduced a paci right after we got home from the hospital. He spits it out all the time...so i don't force it on him. If he wants it he'll take it.

    probably need to try a different paci...my LO spit out the soothie ones the hospital uses...but we had gotten some Avent ones from our shower...which he loves!  there are also times when he just doesn't want the paci at all...doesn't matter which type.

    Try a different type.  DS will only take the nuk ones.
