BBT question!

I started charting my BBT about 4 days ago... this is my first attempt at charting bbt...it has declined everday... my temps have been 97.26 on day one, 97.14 day two, 97.05 day three, then suddenly this morning it is 96.25?  I am still somewhat bleeding very very lightly and brownish.  I used an OPK yesterday at 7PM with a negative result.  I took a 500mg tylenol lastnight at 10:30PM and I take my temps at 5:15AM (between 5 and 5:30 daily).  Could this drop be a result of the tylenol?  I have a hard time believing i am ovulating seeing as though i am still bleeding and got a neg opk.  I have been ttc for over a year and have very irregular periods.  I am also on levothyroxine for hypothyroidism, however i have read that treated hypothyroid should not affect bbt.  Any advice out there?   Ignore my ticker down here its really old and i cant figure out how to get my new one to post with my messages!  *computer illiterate here*

Re: BBT question!

  • Your period can make your temps a bit erratic, usually I never even bothered temping until after she had gone. They start to level out once she leaves.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  • Ditto Krissy about erratic temps during your period.  It's good to temp during your period for your first few cycles though, just to see what your pattern is.

Those temps are within the normal range.  With untreated thyroid disease, temps can be high or low, but you still see the bi-phasic pattern that indicates ovulation (if you indeed ovulate).

Ups and downs from day to day don't mean much.  You're looking for a trend. :)

Do you use fertilityfriend.com ?  I can talk you through putting your new ticker in your sig.

  • yes i was referred to fertility friend and i have been charting my temps there as well as on a paper chart, and writing them in my ttc journal with little comments.  Please help me with my ticker lol i am so confused i changed it on here and i thought that it would just automatically post to my messages, apparently not!  thank you guys so much for your replies... puts me a little more at ease!  trying not to stress too much!
  • Go here:

    https://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/homepage_module.php

Choose which charts you want to display on your page.

The address you want is under "Your Charting Home Page Web Address:". It should have the word 'home' in it and probably some random numbers. Copy that URL.

    Then, go here:

    https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/user/profile.aspx

Scroll down to the signature field. Delete what is there now.  Copy and paste this, replacing URL with the URL you found with the above directions. Leave the quotes:

    <a href="URL">My Chart</a>

(The above directions make a link to your chart-- sorry, I have to look for a sec to see if I can do the ticker. :)  Follow those directions now and it might be able to let me see what code you need for the ticker.)
  • Thanks so much!  Now I'm not so behind the times!
