Today was ds's first day back after being out for two days. When I get there I notice another infants items are in ds's crib and overhear the teacher saying they needed to move those things. If definately looked like another child slept there while he was out sick. Is this normal? I only worry about it because it makes me wonder if they changed the sheet before ds was put back in there today. I really want to just ask if in fact this was the case, and if it is standard practice to change the sheets/sanitize the mattress in between children. Would I be out of line by asking?

Re: Q about daycare and crib assignments
I think it would be OK for you to ask. You could even phrase it as a concern given that DS was sick...wouldn't want another child to have gotten sick from sleeping on the same sheets...or that you wouldn't want your DS to sleep on the same sheets (without washing) from before he was sick.
In my state it is written in the licensing rules that centers have to have a separate sheet for every child.
