  I believe it!  We did cadavers in school and I hated the way the heart stunk.  It was BAD!

  I was gonna say burnt flesh....never smelled brain but I will take your word for it.

  all I remember from cadavers was the formaldehyde smell.....I don't remember any part smelling worse than others, besides more formaldehyde-ish.....

  Haha, true.  DH said second to that may just be a big fat abscess in someone's ass or vag!  LOL, and he's had to drain and pack a ton of them.  Nothing like that kind of funk!

  Not brain...dead body that had been exposed for a couple of days.  Baaad.  I've smelled brain when I had to help the psychiatrist I worked for do an EEG directly on a brain to determine brain death (motorcycle accident...he WAS wearing a helmet btw).  The reason I know dead body is because we (my DD and I) went into an area that just reeked.  Little did we know at the time that we were only about 100 yards from the bodies.  We left the area because of the smell.  They were found an hour later.
