He scratches his legs

His eczema is bad right now because of this horrendous weather.  Tonight while he was taking his oatmeal bath, I noticed him itching his legs.  It made me feel sad Sad

Re: He scratches his legs

  • Oh, poor guy!  Have you tried the Dove soap?  I kept meaning to ask you.

We switched to Aquaphor Gentle Wash, started using tons of Eucerin on his legs and arms, Aquaphor on his face, and washing our clothes with the Tide Free & Clear.  Oh, and I stopped using a washcloth and just use my hands in the bath.  We have been doing this for 3-4 days (extra moisturizer for about two weeks) and just today his rash felt a lot softer.  Good luck!

  • that IS sad, poor baby!!
  • Q - It was almost better but then it got really humid here and flared up.

I use Aveeno wash, and lotion and aquaphor.  We also have triamsinalone  (sp?) and that helps too.  I am hoping the oatmeal bath helps too.

  • Poor Mo! I would also try the Dove soap.
  • We used to use Aveeno wash too but it is made with oats.  DS threw up each time we fed him oatmeal so we decided to try and avoid oats.
