Where did you get guidance on solids? I've been following the Pedi's advice, but now that we're past 6 months, it's a long time between visits, and I don't want to be too adventerous or too overly cautious, either.
Mostly on the 0-6 and 6-12 month boards actually. Wholesomebabyfood.com has good information, but I think they're overly cautious (like saying to avoid peas and beans until one year because legumes are related to nuts!) Seriously, that leaves carrots and sweet potatoes as the only veggies for the first foods? So take that one with a grain of salt. But if you have questions, many of us can probably help. That's the thing with solids, there aren't the hard "rules" that you're used to having up until that point.
I saw the peas and beans thing today - they show up high on the potential allergy list. It doesn't say anything about them when you look up peas and beans, though.
