    IMO if you ask ridiculous questions your get ridiculous answers.

    I do think that it was a ridiculous question, but I mistakenly posted on that board with a question that someone had just asked me on the phone. I was taken aback when she asked me and I thought I knew that it wasn't right, but she sounded so sure when she told me I second guessed myself.

    Good Lord! 

    You're right though ... Ask a silly question, get a hundred angry responses! I hope that I didn't actually upset anyone though. I know how hard that time can be, when you're trying to get pregnant. I know I was probably more than my share of upset when I was in the process.

    You need to relax lady. Our responses had nothing to do with our pregnancy status, but everything to do with your ridiculous question.

    Huh, I didn't say that anyhoo.

    I don't think you made anyone angry. We just all thought it was ridiculous. A HPT is supposed to detect you are pregnant, even if you took it 6 months later and you are still pregnant, do you really expect the test to say "Not Pregnant"?

     ETA: Now you did make them angry with the last part about trying to get pregnant. ::sighs:: people just don't learn.

    After 16 wks of pregnancy, hcg levels start to decline however you still get a postive hpt until up to a few weeks pp.

    At the risk of digging this hole a little deeper ...

    I just want to apologize to anyone who was offended. Yes, I agree it was a stupid question. I shouldn't have posted so hastily. I was just a little confused myself and didn't think it through before I typed.

    If you were annoyed, I apologize to you. If you weren't, I'm sorry for adding drama to a board that was blessedly drama free. I don't like the idea that I might have offended anyone (even on a message board), please forgive my moment of stupidity.

    Those broads had a total overeaction to your post so I don't know why you ae falling all over yourself to apologize. And FWIW I heard the same thing while TTC and possibly even posted about it 6'ish years ago...I was obsessed with HPT's though.Stick out tongue
