So I am pregnant with my 2nd child and my son will have just turned 3 when this baby arrives. I have a chicco travel system that I used with my son that I will use for this baby but I am thinking about a Sit and Stand for use with both of the kids. We take lots of walks, day trips, etc and having a place for the older one to sit or stand and be semi contained is key.
Has anyone had experience with these kinds of strollers?
I have read tons of reviews and my gut says to spend the money and go with the Joovy Caboose Ultralight vs the other ones.
Opinions?
Re: Joovy Caboose Ultralight?
That's so funny- I was posting this same thing just a few weeks ago. We used the Chicco travel system for DD. She'll be just about 3 when #2 arrives. I happened upon a Joovy Caboose on craigslist and we love it. I went with the Sit and Stand so DD could move around, and she loves that she can choose to sit or stand or hop off an walk. I read through a ton of reviews, and those for the Joovy were really favorable. The one complaint I kept reading about was about squeaky wheels, and they're not even that squeaky. You can also just get oil (I was told to get the kind that's used for bike wheels).
Other than that, it's super easy to fold up and to maneuver. We're in an urban area and it's easy to take around size-wise (it's not a monstrosity).
I am in the same boat -- will have a 3 year age diff. But, my DD will def sit in her stroller (we usually use a BOB) going to park, when at the zoo, Fair, Mall, etc. And, we go to the park, A LOT. The sit and stands just don't look very comfy to me.
The Joovy Ergo Caboose - new for 2009-- looks pretty cool. It has more of an actual seat.
I am seriously considering the Phil and Ted's E3 Explorer with Doubles Kit. Pricey, I know but I will sell my BOB because without the doubles kit it is a basically a good single, so if we find we don't need it as much for DD (she chooses to walk) we still have a good single.
Would love the advice of others.
