Recommend your non-Britax convertible carseat

I am starting to look at convertible carseats for DS b/c he is growing so fast, I know he won't be in his snugride too much longer. We can't afford to shell out for Britax so I am looking for recommendations other than Britax. If you like your carseat please recommend it! TIA

    I believe it was toads who recommended this carseat.  (sorry if I got it wrong).  We received it in the mail today, so I can't really give you a recommendation yet.  However, I thought I would suggest at least one carseat so you can be looking at its specs. 

    I hope you have an easier time choosing than I did.  I labored over this choice for what seemed like forever!  

    Also on a side note,  Babies R Us has 10% off all carseats until September 17th.

    My MIL has this for Ben and I actually prefer it over the Britax that I have.

    That is the one we have and LOVE! Its easy to install gets great ratings all over the place and so easy to use. If you have a bigger child its great bc it goes up to 65 lbs FF and 35 (I think its 35) RF. No rethreading of straps to adjust the strap height and its so easy to take off and clean.

    This is true online, but in store you need the coupon. Someone, I think MrsLLG posted the link a few days ago to the printables

    we got the triumph advance as well. We used the 15% off carseat and 15% off baby item and got it for 100 dollars at Babies R Us!! We haven't used it or installed it yet but i've heard great things about it and its not too expensive.

    I have the Marathon.  But, got my mom the Evenflo Triumph Advance and I really like it.  I think its even better than my Marathon. 

    I ordered from albeebaby.com and got it very quickly with free S&H.

    I have a Recaro Signo.  If I wasn't a car enthusiast with an affinity for Recaro automobile seats, I proably would have gone with a Britax.

    oops, sorry...I didn't read your post completely - that's what I get!  But you can find Recaro Signo at a reasonable price bc they stopped making them (making other models now). Online is the way to go with them and there are plenty of retailers that have them for around 150.  I wanted a specific color to coordinate with our infant seat so I had to pay a lil more since my options weren't as plentiful.
