I saw a infant carrier in the front seat!

I was at Walmart today and I saw a 4 door Cavalier drive by with a newborn in a infant carrier in the front seat!! The baby wasnt even buckled in not that it matters at that point. My jaw dropped, if I didnt have my own kids I would have run the cavalier down and made sure the baby was put in the back. Then I saw Grandparents parked next to me putting a infant in a rear facing carrier. They were facing the baby, who was about 6 months forward!! I swear people are idiots!! Their are pictures on the carseats and if you dont know how to put them in, and if you dont know how to put them in properly DONT DO IT! Ugh..

    Maybe the infant seat in the Cavalier wasn't even installed and was just being transported?  I really hope that's the case anyway...

    You know how many times Ive just needed to go "a couple stores down"? I still buckle my kids in! Its inexcusable!

    Oh no, that's not what I meant at all.  I missed that you actually saw the baby in the seat at first and thought that maybe the person was taking the car seat somewhere to drop it off or something.

    I was out with RadioKate yesterday and we saw a mom with her baby in a Bjorn while she was driving. We both looked at each like, "Did you just see that too?"

    I cant believe it, I just pray that nothing happens to those kids but I wish the parents would learn a lesson! Where are the cops when you need em'?

    omg! a few weeks ago, my friend asked to carpool with me b/c her car was repo'd. anyway, i was like "how will we fit 2 carseats in my tiny car if hannah is in the back?" and she's like "well, we could put her up front and just turn the air bags off. i'm sure that's safe. it's not too far"

    I was talking to my MIL about going on a 4 hour drive to see my mom, and she said something about how my SIL always put her baby's carseat in the front so they wouldn't cry on her commute to work. WTF?! Yeah... needless to say I wasn't going to do that.

    I have mine in the front seat for trips to the grocery store b/c he's not quite big enough for the shopping cart and I know I get tons of dirty looks because it still looks like it could be installed if you were just driving by me. But the folks who actually put their children in incorrectly are just plain dumb

    Exactly why i don't go to Walmart. I always see some neglectful parent and it p!sses me off!

    My neighbors son is 10 months and 26lbs. He outgrew his 22lb infant seat at 6m. She still hasn't gotten him a convertable seat and drives around with him in the infant seat all the time. I keep getting on her case and her excuse is "I haven't had time to go get one" yet she goes here and there to entertain her kids all the time!!!
