I want to go get a tattoo in the worst way!

Joe's not a huge fan, but he did say to me the other day "If this is your last one, then I'll say yes, you can go get one!" I said "Do you want me to lie and tell you it's my last one?  Because if so, sure, it's my last one!"  ;)

I just have to save up the money --- so I think once I start the new job, my first paycheck will be used for some ink.

  • How many do you already have?  Do you know what you want?  I hear they are addicting and once you start it's hard to stop :-)

  • I have three.

I have 5 suns (in graduating size) around my left ankle.  I have an angelfish on my right ankle.  And I have hibiscus flowers on my back (tramp stamp. My mother and two sisters have the same one, in the same spot).

I want two butterflies.  One in yellow w/orange highlights (Joey's birthstone is citrine) and one in red w/pink highlights (Cam's birthstone is ruby).  I want it on my upper right thigh (it would be at the height that it would peek out of my bathing suit (I wear a skirted one or boy shorts).  I haven't figured out what I want around it, as I don't want just two random butterflies "plopped" on my thigh. :)  I'll leave that part up to the artist.  Maybe some oversized wild flowers?!?!

  • My girlfriend did a ladybug and then went back and had them add a leaf (or something like that) so that it didn't look like a random ladybug.  I love the idea of a tattoo for you kids.  I have been talking about getting one for L for awhile now, but I am too much of a wuss.  If I ever do, I would do something simple like his initials or the numbers of his birthday.

  • I can see how they would be addicting. I just got my first one and I already can't wait to go back and get anther one for the next baby.
  • They are not addicting to me. I got mine when I was 18, it's a tramp stamp too, but I love it. I plan on adding a star (it's a sun/moon/star) for each child I have but I've not gone in and done it yet.
