Spin313

Just curious- how does Mali and Mali work vaccinations and the payments, especially that first year.  Do you get all the shots there or do you go to the health department once the well care max is met?  The office I go to brings in the shots from the health department and offer it at the discounted rate after the max is met.  They made it sound like it's a pretty rare thing for an office to be able to do this.  Just curious how true that is.  Not necessarily looking to switch offices, but it'd be good to know if case I ever did.

Re: Spin313

  • All our well visits and vaccines are covered by our insurance so it's never been an issue.  We just get the vaccines at the office, so I've never asked questions about the health department.

I've never heard anyone in my mom group mentioning the discounted rate thing though, so maybe it is a special situation.

  • hmm- interesting.  The issue is more-or-less with the first year, since there's so many vaccines and well visits.  I was told most insurance plans cover well visits and vaccines, but there's a $500/yr max, so it's easy to go over that the first year.
