1st Trimester

when did you morning sickness start?

Just curious- as I am about 4.5 weeks right now and feel pretty good, just tired.  every once in a while a I feel a little something but then it passes.  I think I may be the one pregnant person wishing for MS- I feel like it is a good sign for a growing healthy baby!

Just wanting to see what others experience was.

Thanks!

Re: when did you morning sickness start?

  • I'm at 5 weeks and I haven't experienced any MS.  I've heard week 6 is usually when people start feeling the sickness.

  • The middle of week 5.
  • I just started feeling very ill today. I was also like you, kind of wishing it would come. Now I regret that...lol

     Good Luck tootz! :)

  • I am 6w2d and I puked for the first time today, although i've been feeling like I would lose it for the last 4 days.

  • Well, I have been very queasy, but never vomited...until this morning. Apparently Baby was not hungry this morning and I had to stand on the side of the interstate puking my guts out on my 30 min drive to work! So, I guess it varies, but for me it was this morning. It may be Baby just didn't like what was for breakfast, pizza bites (I hate breakfast foods!).
  • none yet.

  • Mine didn't kick in until 8 weeks.

  • I'm not exactly sure when it started because I was already feeling nauseous from the medications I am taking post-IVF, but I didn't actually start vomiting until the end of week 6 and since then I've been vomiting several times a day.
It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!

  • It gradually got worse and worse.  Started around 5 weeks.
  • 5w5d and it's been getting progressively worse. Every time I think I have a handle on it, I run to the bathroom throwing up. My dr. has prescribed Zofran for the daytime and Phenergan (sp?) for the nights - I start it tonight, so fingers crossed!

  • Don't wish for morning sickness. I have it all day... gaggy, exhausted, nauseous... and I'm almost 13 weeks. I wouldn't wish the way I've been feeling upon my worst enemy.

Bad nausea started at 6 weeks.  Vomiting started at 8 weeks.

Nausea has let up a bit but by now but the vomiting is still going strong.

    This!

  • I understand what you mean by almost wishing you had it... ALMOST!  I am at the end of my 4th week and feel pretty normal.  I am a little more tired, but no nausea.  I think m/s just assures you that there is something in there growing.  Not feeling any different is a little unnerving.
  • Never had stitch of it!  My baby is doing very well, thank God.

So DO NOT worry if you don't get it at all!!Smile

  • There is a post on here just like this every day. So, no, you're not alone in your concern. But those that are farther along will tell you not to worry about it.

First of all, you are barely pregnant. Most people don't experience m/s until at least week 6, sometimes later. I didn't get sick until week 11. And even then, I was only sick for 5 days. Some women don't get sick at all.

I've said this so many times, but it's true. Symptoms are not an indicator of how healthy your pregnancy is. It's just your body's reaction to hormones. Some people can just tolerate the extra hormones better than others, you know? And each pregnancy is different. Some women had tons of morning sickness with their first, and none with their second (and vice-versa).

Enjoy feeling well, and h&h 9 months!

  • My "all day long nausea" sickness started at around 5weeks. At first I had only thrown up once and it was after I tried to take my prenatal too early in the am. But since 5ish weeks its been constant. Truly please please please do not wish this on yourself. You do NOT want to do that. It sucks. I'm sorry but it really sucks. I hope you never have an ounce of morning sickness, I wouldnt wish it on anyone.
