I am a knitter, and I 100% understand the amount of time and effort that goes into knitting a pair of longies (especially the ones with cute designs on the butt). But I am still amazed when I see longies like the ones in marbear's post below for $90-100, because I never would have dreamed that people really pay that much. What's the most you would pay for a super-super-cute pair? What do you consider a reasonable price, and what do you consider a great deal?
Re: How much would you spend on wool?
probably ^^this
Renee is my psychic twin.
Up to $90, if we can wear them all season. Seasonal, no more than $45-50.
Bargain for me is between $35-40, but I have been known to snatch up $10 ppd deals & FFS.
I also take into account the resell value (ie: I can keep rolling my woolie money over).
I make some of my own too, to offset the higher amount I am willing to pay for customs & OOAKs.
ditto this.
I'm cheap.
If you would have asked me a month ago, I would have said $40-$50 range for sure. But then I had trouble finding anything I liked so I got into customs YYMN....and it was $25-$35 for those + I ended up spending about $40 for yarn (several colors) and then shipping is another $4 or so. So when I added that all up it's like close to $100 and they still are just for stripped ones or ones with two colors and an orange pumpkin with matching hat. So now I've really gone into crazy-ville. My new limit is under $100....so $99.99, haha! I refuse to pay anything over that b/c that is just insane!
But like Jenni said, I'll couple it with t-shirts I have for dd and sell it as a set. I know I can probably make close to what I paid for it and "roll over" that money into buying something else that will fit for her in the next size up. At least that is what I'm telling myself....hehe! I've noticed that even at $100, they seem to disappear quick off DS!
