  • I've been using Udderly Smooth, which isn't really a stretch mark cream, but I really like it.  Not greasy at all.

  • Mama Mio...made with organic products. My skin has been supersensitive and so far I haven't broken out on my stomach from this!  I got it at destination maternity, it is a little bit more expensive then palmers but 1 tub lasted me 5 months!

  • My OB actually said there's really no reason to use them, if you get them it just has to do with your skin type and genetics, so there's not much you can do.  He did say moisturizing can help reduce the appearance, but an every day body lotion will do the same thing any "stretch mark" cream would do.
  • I've just been using baby oil because that's what my Mum used with all five of her pregnancies and she doesn't have a stretch mark on her.

I'm really hoping for her genes on this one.

  • My OB recommeded Belli Oil...we got a bottle for about $42 on Amazon.  It is like spreading on pure lavender oil...ahahhh
  • I use Vitamin E Oil. It has definitely helped the redness of my stretch marks go down.

  • I agree with pinktea. I have read multiple articles that stretch mark cream doesn't do anything. It's all genetics. It is important to hydrate your skin so you don't get itchy, but that's about it.

My friend who practices alternative medicine did tell me that almond oil or olive oil works well although they will probably feel greasy.

Although I am quite petite, I used to be chubby and have stretch marks from when I was a teenager. Hopefully I won't get more from the pregnancy!

  • Honestly I have been using what I used pre-baby... Jergans Firming lotion.

Seems to be working just great! no stretch marks!

My derm had told me that this is not completely 100% correct - the lotion itself won't do anything for your stretchmarks, it will just keep you from getting itchy.  However, if you are actively stretching and massaging your skin from the very beginning, that can help.  Obviously the lotions, etc. make the stretching/massaging process easier though.

  • I love to use shea butter called "Lay it on Thick" from Bath and Body works, it is unscented and I wake up in the morning with very soft skin!!
