So, at 3:00 PM today I realized that I hadn't felt my LO move in about 24 hours. I immediately drank some orange juice and relaxed for about an hour, thinking I would definitely feel her move.
Well, after an hour I hadn't felt anything and so I called my OB's office. Within 15 minutes the office manager was calling me back and telling me to just come on in and they would check things out.
The OB did a quick ultrasound, checked the amniotic fluid level (which was perfect) and we found and heard a nice strong heart beat. She was not moving at all! She was completely asleep with her little hand under her cheek and the other arm "pillowing" head. Even when the OB shook my belly around and poked at her she just batted and kicked us away and went back to sleeping. It was so cute!
I love my OB! She didn't make me feel silly or paranoid and told me she would much rather me come in and everything be just fine then be looking at me and saying "Why didn't you call me sooner?" Today is a good day!
Oh yeah, and of course she's now been kicking like crazy for the last hour and will probably now be awake all night!
