Food Allergy

My LO had a food allergy to....CARROTS!  I didn't know that was possible.  It was pretty bad, too.  Now, it seems to be starting again with sweet potatoes.  Should I stay away from the orange foods.  Anyone else with this issue?  Should I consult an allergist?

    The first day, she had a rough, red rash around the mouth.  Then she had very loose, frequent stools for 6 days!  And she had a painful diaper rash (I felt so bad each time I tried to wipe her softly).  We also had two nights of bad crying spells.  I'm assuming her tummy was hurting, along with a sore bottom.  Oh yeah, and a low grade temp.
