Why hello there! I've only met one other fellow Alaskan nestie and it was on ML years ago.
I'm a transplant from Idaho, but we've been here four years this summer, and will be here forever.
What about you? Have you always been in Fairbanks?
Ive seen two others on this board. On lives in eagle river, but she's graduated to PAL now. And the other somewhere in SE. And I saw a few when I was on the tri boards too.
I moved here as a kid (air force brat) and my family retired here. Since then everyone but me has moved somewhere warmer. My MIL lives in anchorage, so we'll be there next weekend. We go there all the time... drives me nuts.
Are you still in themarket for a TTCAL buddy? Mine is having her c/s tomorrow, I suppose its time for a new one.

Are you going to the fair while you're here visiting your MIL? It just kicked up last weekend.
Im sure noone replied because noones ever on at night. Thers only a handful of west coasters. Watch, the board will die very soon tonight. Im so excited to have a new buddy! I think Im good luck, my old buddy got KU her first full cycle being my buddy. Im sure it was all me, that got her there
Im not sure if we're going to the fair... will it still be on the weekend of the 12th? I think its done after this weekend. I would've loved to see the beach boys. Maybe that will give us something to do to get out of the house.

Well actually, this is my first cycle since we were cleared to TTC again after we lost a little boy at 17 weeks in June---but since I only had AF once after the m/c I'm not sure when I O'd or when to test...I'm 32 days post-AF...so we'll see what happens.
. Before that, we had been TTC for over two years with no BFPs...which I think had something to do with thyroid issues. Seems like no matter how many doctors I go to here nobody gives me solid answers...I haven't been super impressed with the specialists (including fertility drs) in ole' Alaska...but that's another story.
As for a job, my husband and I own an appraising business in town and I'm going to UAA to finish my degree---I would love to get my secondary teaching certificate when I graduate.
Hopefully we can bring some friggin' luck to eachother!!
I have noticed that the boards die down at night, which sucks because that's always the time I feel like getting on here...at least there are a few Westie Nesties left this time of night.

DH graduated from UAA two years ago, he really liked it. Good doctors in alaska are few and far between. I love my OB, and got really lucky with her. I hope I never have to go anywhere else for anyreason. Sorry you arent having any luck in anchorage with doctors.
I work as a dental assistnat, and DH works for a design firm. We started TTC a year ago, when we got home from our honeymoon, and got pregnant our first cycle. That ended in a partial molar pregnancy, so I had to TTA for seven months. Finally got cleared to TTC and am now on cycle four... five? Im not sure anymore.
My favotite color is pink, my favorite number is four, and I love elephants. I have three tattoos, my older sister is in the airfoce in mississippi, my little brother is in guam with the navy. My mum is 100% british, and a little crazy. My dad is from Kansas, and they live in texas now. My favorite fruit is grapes.... I dont like veggies. And right now my house is a mess, since we just got back from valdez and are too lazy to fully unpack. Thats me in a nutshell.
DH and I have to run and gas up our cars and grab dinner. I'll be back later!
p.s- did you know gas is going up 8 cents/gallon in AK tomorrow, since the stimulus bill expires tonight?
