flu shot

feeling yucky after my flu shot, now I'm having regrets. I NEVER get the flu shot (despite being a nurse in a busy hospital). My throat and chest feel sore and just general yuck.

    That's 100% normal for the flu shot and how it works - it gives your immune system a startle to rev it up should you get exposed to the virus.  You should feel better by tomorrow.

    You can't catch the flu from the flu shot. It is not a live virus. Only the nasal spray has live viruses.

    Yeah, I know I'm not getting the flu...just venting, excited to have found out the sex today but bummed I feel so yuck.

    Wow I didn't realize we can get the flu shot now! I normally get mine late Sept / early Oct. I guess it's a good idea to get it sooner with the pregnancy. Hope you feel better tomorrow!
