Question from a 3rd tri-er

Hi Ladies!  Looking forward to joining you all soon and hoping you can answer a quick question since you've already been through it :)

I have a question about the mucus plug...I know from reading that some people lose it all at once and others can lose it in pieces.  Everything I read though describes it as boogery for lack of a better word.  I just got home from work and felt a little wet so I went to investigate.  I had a wet spot in my panties about 2" long.  It seemed to be CM since it was sticky and not just wet however it was by no means a "piece".  Does that sound like part of the plug or something else?  I was picturing more of a tangible "chunk" when I envisioned the plug or a piece of the plug.  What was your experience?  TIA!

    Mine was more of a chunk.  You may have already lost it, or you might not lose it until you are already in labor, but either way, good luck!!

    Mine was more like several chunks... Like thick snot (yuck!) with some streaks of blood.

    Well, mine wasn't really a "chunk" in the sense of being solid like. ?I lost it gradually, and it basically looked like really big boogers. ?Mine was not tinged with blood. ?

    FWIW, I went into labor 6 days after I started losing it. ?GL!?

    i lost mine in pieces - they were def boogery looking pieces - some twinged with blood. sounds like you might have lost part of your!

    I lost a couple chunks... it was like snot. yellowish snot- gross lol :)

    For me it wasn't runny, but I had a few days of clumpy goo. It was different than the CM I had for much of my pg. It wasn't a different color, still whitish/cream, but was a gooey clump.
