Anyone else have a "B" belly?

Argh!

We went out for DH's birthday this past weekend. ?Whenever I wear a dress, I wear Higher Power Spanx because I don't like my thighs to rub together. ?I recently got them in a bigger size so I don't crush my stomach.

It's official...upper part of my belly is bigger than the lower part. ?I said to DH, "look at this crap! ?There's no baby up here! ?The baby is down here! ?This (while grabbing the upper part) is just fat and guts!" ? I guess my ute has finally pushed up some organs. ?

Does anyone else have this fabulous "B" belly? My bella band is useless because if I wear it without folding it, it's too loose to do any smoothing. ?If I fold it to hold up my pants, my upper stomach folds it over. ?

  • Ooh!! ME ME!!

I can't stand it!! I'm hoping it evens out - it looks like it might eventually.  For now, I just try to cover that part up!

  • I do.  I just can't wait for the middle band to push out and connect the too.  I want a round belly not a b belly.

  • Yes, I have the dreaded B-Belly. The top part of my stomach is a smooth and hard perfect bump. The bottom part is still just flabby skin and fat. It's completely annoying! However, I am starting to even out and at least the top part looks and feels like a real bump!

PS Picture in my siggy is old. Replacing it today more than likely!

  • It'll even out...I seem to always have a B Belly, and pregnancy always makes it more pronounced at first, but then it evens out and you get round all around...
  • Me! Me! lol I'm starting to lose hope in the fact it will even out sadly. gr.
  • What's a B Belly?  Rolls instead of round?

thats how i am. i try to wear shirts that hug the top part but drop after the hug so that it doesn't hug the bottom part of the B. that's when i feel like i look most pg instead of a big fat blob. i got my first tummy pat (from my dad) the other day because i wore a shirt like this so i know it does the job! : )

    this!
  • i think i do, but my maternity jeans hide it well. :)
  • Yes, I have the B Belly and the top part is much bigger than the bottom. I really need the band around my belly button to push out. Then I should have a very cute bump. For now, the "bump" is just a little disappointing...

  • there's no baby up there, but everything that USED TO BE down lower is getting shoved up there!

My B belly went away for a while and is back a little now...it comes and goes.

  • ugh *raises hand* it is so ugly!  I have all this flabby bloat crap up top and then the lower part of my belly is hard.  I'm glad I can still somewhat suck the top part in so I look more normal.  But I know this will be short lived!
  • My B-belly fluctuates as well. Sometimes I look like a proper sumo-wrestler and other times you can't notice it as much.

  • I do!  I am a natural muffin top I am bigger on top than the bottom I really feel like the Michelin Man around the middle.

  • Mine is pry about even but there is a definate indent in the middle.

  • I had one until just about 2 weeks ago.  I hated it.  I felt like I looked fat and not pregnant.  Just be patient the D belly will come.  But I do understand your frustration. =)
  • Count me in too! LOL.  I didn't realize there was a name for this type of belly but that is the perfect description! Smile
  • Wow, i've never been able to relate to a post better than this one. I never understood why my TOP bump was getting so much bigger when the baby is in the bottom one! The only way to make me look more pregnant, less fat is if I wear jeans WAY up high to squish in the top bump... or if I wear empire waist maternity pants that hang from my big bump as if my entire belly looked like that (as a PP mentioned).

     Can't wait 'till I go from a "B" to a "D" :)

  • Most definitely.

Nothing to do but wait for it to even out, though.  Maybe filling it in in the morning with playdough?  Kidding.  But blergh.

  • Umm, pretty sure I have a "P" belly...

Above my pants line is "showing" and getting harder, but my pants line and lower still look fairly normal. I was a bit worried that my pants are in the way. But I do wear a bella band with my jeans because that's way more comfy... so obviously I am growing a bit in that area.

  • Oh thank gosh it's not just me - I've been looking at all these pretty belly pics and thinking there's no point in even taking a pic. I don't look pregnant yet - just a bit fatter than usual thanks to the upper tyre.
