Re: Tea tree oil

  • I used tea tree oil before I got pregnant, and for a few weeks afterwards.  I actually posted here saying that it helped.  After that, I got a pm from another woman on here that said she began having contractions later on in pregnancy whenever she used it.  I began doing research and found out that it's not recommended during pregnancy.  Natural products don't always mean it's safe.  I asked my midwife but she didn't know much about it, so I switched to something else.

  • I have a tea tree oil soap that works wonderfully and hasn't caused any ill effects.  If it starts then I will discontinue use.

  • I get it on my eyebrows after waxing (with #1 and #2) and no problems yet.

  • Never heard this, i'm still using mine. I do know you shouldn't use anything with a high concentration of peppermint oil because that can send you into labor. I used to be a Body Shop Consultant and when they put the new formula of peppermint foot spray out they had to warn us it can do that, you also shouldn't use it if you have high blood pressure. Nothing about tea tree oil.
