Going to be a working mom...

Hi! We recently found out we are pregnant with our first baby! So excited but already looking at day care centers for after maternity leave :(

I knew it was going to be expensive but I guess I didn't realize how expensive...

    Glad that you are already looking.  I am still on a couple waiting lists (including my work daycare list).  Get on as many as you can...even if they say 1-2 years out.  You never know where you will be at that time.  Good luck and welcome to this board!

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

    It is intimidating to start thinking about daycare costs.  I was shocked too.  We were luckily able to come up with a family solution for less money than daycare in our area, but it is still stressful.

    Definitely start looking asap, it is hard to get a spot, especially at the better centers.  Good luck!

    congrats! i pay 500 a month out of pocket. I have heard some people pay up to 1000.
