Fun Toys for 17 month old

What are some fun toys for a 17 month old? My son is starting to get bored with some of his toys. Just curious what are some fun/cool toys for 17 month old to play with.

    My son recommends cardboard boxes and sidewalk chalk.

    I'm having the same problem. I just try and get him out of the house as much as I can (within reason), and we hit up the library for new books and cd's every week.

    Right now DS is really into rocks, balls, ride-ons, and his push mower. He loves anything that he can throw or that keeps him moving.

    My DD is almost 17 months and loves cars, balls, stickers, crayons, push toys, and anything elmo that sings. She also likes slides so I can't wait for the weather to cool down so we can go to the park more.

    My DS loves push mowers and his radio flyer tiny trike (no pedals). His is all wooden, but it looks a lot like this one:

    We also just got him a toy tool set that the tools move/light up that he loves.  He likes to bang the nails in with the hammer. 

    If you can find any rubber/plastic animals around, DS has also taken a big interest in animals. He has an elephant, zebra, cow, etc. He will play with them for hours-good for the car or restaurant.
