I am 15 weeks along and the last few weeks I have been waking up in the middle of the night with my arms/ hands asleep. It used to be only when I laid on my side, but although it is worse when I sleep on my side, now it is happening even on my back. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions for fixing it? It makes it really hard to get a good night's sleep when I wake up and my arms are in pain.
Re: Pregnancy Carpel Tunnel?
I've found that keeping my wrists as straight as possible while sleeping helps me. There are 2 ways that I accomplish this. Usually, it's sleeping with a teddy bear. Holding the teddy bear forces my wrists to be fairly straight. If it gets to a point where even holding my teddy doesn't help, then I put on a pair of wrist braces that I have. They definitely keep my wrists very straight.
I hate waking up with them asleep. I think I'm going to have to move towards the wrist braces, because since I've introduced the belly wedge pillow it has made it difficult to hold my teddy. LOL
