Babies: 0 - 3 Months

i'm nervous b/c...

I really thought this was going to be harder. I know it's only 3 days in but i thought even by now I would be exhausted and crazed not knowing what to do. LO is just so low maintenance right now. I feel like it's a ticking time bomb...when will this end and the unconsolable child rear his face??

haha, he is just such a calm baby. It feels weird.

Anyone else experience this? Is it just coz he is so young?

haha i accidently posted this in 3rd Tri. Old habits die dard.

  • LOL.  I'll be the first to say it:  Just wait.  :D  Overall, our DD has been an easy baby from the start, but there have been days and/or weeks that have made me think I'm going insane.  You'll have those days/weeks, too.  Just be thankful that today isn't one of those days.
  • At 3 days you ain't seen nothin' yet! You're still running on adrenaline. :)

  • Your baby just went through something very traumatic and he is coping by shutting down and sleeping. He will eat and sleep and nothing else for a little while...............................................

........................then comes the crazed and not knowing what to do!

    Welcome to motherhood! :)

  • babies are like that for the first week or so.  they are still in that sleepy coma state.  give it a few weeks.

  • The first few weeks were great for me. She slept anytime, anywhere. Now she won't be put down and hates her carseat. Things definitely got harder for me after the first month. Who knows....maybe you'll get lucky and things will stay calm for you.
  • lol, your still high on adrenaline at 3 days. I think my breakdowns started at around 2 weeks. and at 3 days all they do is sleep and eat (and you usually have to wake then to do it) and poop. it is pretty easy.

Soon he'll be fighting his sleep, wanting to eat every hour and having trouble pooping. lol

Good luck and enjoy this now.

  • I'll be the next to say it, you just wait :)

  • you may regret posting this when the real ride starts sometime later this week. GL!
  • Well I guess I will be the only one to post differently. My DS was the same way, very calm, not a crier, slept well and so on. He is nearly 12 weeks old and is still that way. He only cries when he is hungry and super tired. He started sleeping through the night at 9 weeks. I am not saying that your LO will stay that way but hey it could happen. Good luck!!!
