you'll get blood drawn, asked a bunch of questions, weighed, pee in a cup. DH doesn't need to go with you, but if there is some family history on his side that you don't know, it might be a good idea to take him with you. it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half.

I just got my BFP on Thursday so I have my first appointment tomorrow morning.
What should I expect?
Should DH go with me?
How long will it take?
If you call your doctor's office, they can answer all these questions for you. Each doctor operates a little differently, so what people tell you on here may be slightly different from what your doctor does.
My first appointment was a full family history and bloodwork. I wasn't allowed to bring anyone with me, and I was done in 20 minutes.
The second appointment was an ultrasound and meeting with the doctor. That's where they confirmed/dated the pregnancy.
