Wakes up from nap crying = not enough sleep, not ready to wake up

Wakes up from nap playing/talking = enough sleep, ready to be up

He's been in there for 2.5 hours now. He woke up screaming twice and I left him and sure enough he went back to sleep (now, that doesn't always happen, but...). He just woke up again but he's rolling around, singing, and playing with his pacis. Now's when I go and get him.

What do you think? Do you agree? Don't you wish they could always go back to sleep when you know they need to?

Yep, true with us. I hate when he wakes crying and won't go back to sleep because that means he's a crabby boy.

Same here. She'll be super crabby and clingy if she won't go back to sleep.

Sadly, not in my house. Hadley usually fusses when she wakes up regardless of whether or not she needs more sleep.

No my DS wakes up from every nap crying for us to come get him and he sleep for 2 1/2 hours as well. As soon as I pull him out of the crib ne wants down to play.
