another blogspot?
Should it take over an hour to add a minute long video? Should I be downloading them somewhere else or compress them or something? This is lame.

Add them first to a third party service like youtube, snapfish or soapbox. Do you have Vista or more recent version of MS? You can use Microsoft Live Writer, it's easier to add pics (drag and drop) and you can add videos directly to Youtube and then it will embed it for you.
It usually takes about 15 mins for mine to load.
