QOTD:  Has your appetite changed since entering 2nd Tri?

Me:  I am not as nauseous, so I am hungrier.  I am also starting to want smaller meals throughout the day... less heartburn that way.

Re: First in '10 Monday Check In

  • I want to snack all the time!!! I cannot believe how hungry I get. I ate a small snack of grapes and mandarin oranges and I was starving 30 minutes later.

  • Yes -- I got into the mentality that I could eat what I wanted...and now I'm up a total of 15lbs Embarrassed

I wasn't necessarily eating more, but I certainly wasn't making good food choices.  Today I'm back on track and I'm tracking what I put into my mouth on my Weight Watchers.com program. I'm not "dieting",  I'm just using it as a visual tool to see what I've been eating, as well as keeping track of calories to make sure I'm not overdoing it.

  • We found out that we are Team Blue on Friday!

My hubby had a 3 day weekend so we went fishing and just hung out together watching movies. Was nice since he has been working so much.

I find that I cant eat as much during one sitting so I am eating more smaller meals throughout the day as well! At least now everything I eat stays in there!

Oh my gosh -- this!  I've had to make sure I have veggies, fruit & nuts on hand at all times!

  • It looks like I'll be getting an u/s hopefully this week, the m/w thinks it *might* be twins.

QOTD: I've definitely been eating more especially now that I don't have m/s every night.

  • Please add us to Team Blue! Found out Friday.

I was feeling good, and was brave enough to stop taking Zofran this weekend. I felt great Sat and Sun. Today was Day 3, without it, and I threw up my lunch before I finished it....Grrr I thought that would be over by now....

QOTD: Not much of a change here, though I am able to eat more...

  • Feeling well and am very grateful for the dropping temperatures here in NY!

My appetite hasn't changed all that much in 2nd Tri, just happy to be rid of most of the food aversions I was having. I try to eat healthy and not to splurge too often but, am also enjoying not having to monitor my weight as I did pre-pregnancy (keeping my weight consistent was a struggle).

  • QOTD: I am not as nauseaus as I was in first trimester so I actually feel like eating but I cannot for the life of me ever eat more then half of what is on my plate. I get full VERY quick.

This is how I am!  Some days I am ravenous.  Others, I don't even realize it is time to eat.  I wonder how 3rd tri is going to be!

  • QOTD: My "normal" pattern is to eat lunch and then a late dinner (pre-pregnancy), so it's been tough to remind myself to eat smaller/more frequent meals. Heartburn has been a biotch. My appetite is kind of weird--I feel hungry a lot, but in a different way from pre-pregnancy (more of an empty feeling).

  • I had pretty bad m/s during the 1st tri.  Now that I'm in 2nd tri and the m/s is almost completely gone, my appetite has obviously changed but still no where near how it was before I was pg.  Before I was pg I LOVED to eat!! Now I just eat because I have to.  Sometimes food sounds good and sometimes its just eh, okay.

And I get full really fast.

  • I have been incredibly sick since Tuesday last week. I somehow ended up with a chest infection.  I ended up in emerg. on Wednesday 'cause I couldn't breath. I'm slowly starting to recover but it's not happening fast enough.

QOTD:  Has your appetite changed since entering 2nd Tri?

Not really.  Sure there are days where I am ravenous, but that happened in the first tri for me too.  I'm down about 5 lbs still.  Most days it's takes a lot for me to fill up on all my daily nutrients etc. as I'm just not that hungry.

QOTD: I've definitely been eating more especially now that I don't have m/s every night.

OMG!  Are you excited?  Nervous?  Do YOU think that it is twins?

  • I'm hungry more often than the 1st tri. I'm only mildly nauseous in the mornings so it's not too bad. But pre pg I was eating 5 or 6 times a day so I'm almost back to that schedule. By the afternoon, I want candy, and a lot of healthy items I can't stomach. So I'm hoping I don't make a jump in weight because of it.
  • My appetite hasn't changed as much, but I'm eating small meals.  So, I think that might be why I'm not super hungry when I get home like I used to be.
  • We are team green-staying there!  Ultrasound was this morning and we made the choice to stay.

i am hungry all the time still.   need a second breakfast typically about an hour after i eat my first one! :)    sweets too now-like brownies, candy etc.   with starting back to work at school for the fall i am trying to make sure that i have enough things to take for all my snacking.

  • I am constantly hungry.  I wouldn't necessarily call it a change, but most days now (certainly not all Tongue Tied) I can keep it down.

I actually told my MIL at about 10 weeks that I had a "feeling" it was twins. But we never heard a 2nd HB when listening with the doppler (that we know of)

So then I thought I was just wrong. So now I'm not sure what to think!

We would be excited and nervous!

  • QOTD:  My appetite didn't change when I first entered 2nd tri.  However, in the last week, I've become significantly more hungry!  I'll eat a snack and be hungry less than an hour later.

  • My appetite is pretty the same since 1st tri- maybe a little less. I didn't have morning sickness but I did get nauseous. I would nibble on things to keep the nausea under control in 1st tri. Glad those days are gone!
  • You can add me to Team Blue. I am still in shock...but to type it here, makes it more real.

As for diet I have been eating several small meals as I tend to get full faster now.

Now I am just trying to adjust my thinking to boy things....

  • I get super hungry at night around bed time! I have been snacking a lot around that time.
  • Hello!  I tried to add myself to Team Blue last week, but I don't think I was ever counted.Smile

My appetite is still not as strong as it was pre-pregnancy, but it is finally starting to pick up a little more to where I finally feel better because I am eating more.

  • QOTD:  Has your appetite changed since entering 2nd Tri?

Nope, not really. I wasn't really had morning sickness to being with. It was more motion lol. I am hungrier though...

  • It seems to be an endless cycle of snacking and small meals; too much food and I feel sick, but not enough and I'm hungry again in an hour.
  • It comes and goes for me. Somedays I eat constantly and other days are just normal.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • QOTD: I am no longer gagging at the thought of food so I have found that my appetite is at least back to normal.  I have noticed my definate craving for all things potato though.
  • I still have no appetite, All I eat is fruit.
  • My nausea completely went away around 13 weeks unless I forget to eat- then I get sick. I go through spurts of being hungrier and less hungry. I'm just trying to eat as healthily and normally as possible.
  • QOTD: My appetite continues to change.

1st tri, I ate snacks every hour or two, but usually not even as big as a small meal. I had to keep my stomach at a not-empty-but-not-full state to limit the nausea.

Beginning of 2nd tri, I was eating frequent small meals. I had no more nausea, but I couldn't eat much at once.

Now, I'm eating more normal sized meals for me (at a restaurant that means about half portions - I've never been able to eat much more than that at once), and still have snacks throughout the day.

  • QOTD: It's changed for the good mostly - I can't eat too much red meat anymore, which is fine, but the nausea is gone and my appetite is back with a vengeance. I have to keep snacks in my purse or else I get cranky!

  • I can finally eat more then cereal & fruit....so I have been going to town. It's nice to eat something that sounds good and not have to worry if its going to make me nauseous after. I live for potatoes. Made any way. Yum.
  • I need to be added to Team Blue, please!

Mine hasn't changed much. I still have an aversion to chicken but I have noticed in the past week or so I've been craving more healthy food - so that's definitely better!

  • I had another dr.'s appointment this morning and Dr. said she is 90% sure we are having a girl. We saw three lines but no vajjay the cord was right in the way.

I find I cant eat as much as one time so samll meals all the time.

  • I find that I am not able to eat as much as I used to so I am eating a little more often but not eating as much when I do eat.  What I eat has not changed and I am not having any real cravings.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • My cravings have changed this trimester,  Of course none of what I want is heathly at all.
  • Docs. appt tomorrow, monthly check up stuff. I hope I actually gained some weight so they don't yell at me.

QOTD: I have noticed I eat smaller meals but some times not as healthy as they should be. Trying to eat more apples and oranges.
