Anyone have creative ideas for telling the fam?

in Pregnant after a Loss

Since my family is coming to spend the holiday weekend with us, we plan on telling them I'm pg. I can't come up with any cute ways to tell them. I don't want to give my mom a poem or picture or anything, because I want to tell everyone at once. Does anyone have any good ideas? I got nothing.

    You could just blurt it out awkwardly. That's what I've been doing. :)

    You could get all the Grands an early Grandparent's day gift and have a BBQ for the holiday and have everyone come over and give the gifts then. Grandpartnet's day is the Sept. 13th. this year. Or put together a short DVD slide show that has your most current U/S on them at the end And a Slide that say I am expecting! OR you could get a cake made that has your U/S pic on it and your EDD and serve it for dessert!

    You could do the "Lets take a family group picture" and then have someone snap a picture right as you tell them and catch all their faces.

    I think for work, i'm going to make cupcakes with blue and pink icing and let them figure it out (even though apparently they all seem to know)

    OR, you could make a cake and just write on it..."Baby Makes 3 - Coming this March!!!"

    You can make cupcakes and icing them in pink and blue or make a cake a with blue icing in the middle and pink icing on the outside and see if anyone catches on.

    You could always buy wine for everyone... and when they ask why your not drinking then tell them!!!

    Or you could get a cake and put something on it like, were expecting, and make sure everyone sees the cake !

    Yes! That's perfect. I think I'll do the picture idea with DH taking the pic. I love the idea of always having a picture of their faces when they first found out. And I'll also bake some cupcakes with pink and blue icing. I'll hide those until after we take the pic, and then we can eat cupcakes to celebrate. I'm so excited. Thanks ladies!!!

    My family is coming down the weekend of the 12th.  My mother is so predictable so I know she is going to bring up my cousin's wedding which is Memorial Day weekend next year.  I'm just going to tell her that we are probably not going to make it b/c we're not going to want to travel with a 6 week old.  Wink
