2nd Trimester

I'm supposed to take baby aspirin?

We had our NT scan a little over a week ago, and when the results came back I was told to take 1 baby aspirin a day to "keep my placenta healthy."

Apparantly there's one measurement of a hormone that came in slightly elevated. Normal for it is 2.5 and mine measured 2.52.

Anyone heard of this? I have a Dr. appt Wednesday, so I'll be asking more questions of my OB at that point.

  • Not sure what measurement that was but I take a baby aspirin every night for clotting issues if that makes you feel any better about taking one.

  • I was told to start taking baby aspirin after my NT scan also. Mine though was because the hormone that regulates the growth of the placenta was a little low. So the aspirin is acting as a blood thinner to get the hormones to where they need to be on time.
  • never heard of it;  until I was pg I was on a baby aspirin/day and I was told to stop it.
