stretch marks?

in 2nd Trimester
my tummy is super itchy - is that a sign stretch marks are on the way? I avoided them for my first PG but my mother has them and I've read that your mom having them is the #1 indicator of whether you get them or not.  I would have thought that since my body already did this once it would be used to the stretching ......

    Mine has been super itchy, have been moisterizing like crazy for weeks, but woke up yesterday morning with horrible stretch marks all across my belly...:(
