  I get to go see a newborn tomorrow and satisfy my cravings to hold a little one   (my friend is having hers today)

  I'll be getting my first ever maternity pics too.  A girl I went to high school with will be taking them for me   I'm putting together some inspiration pics today to work with
  

  I saw the doctor last Thursday and was 1-2 cm, 80% effaced.  I have my last 17P shot Wednesday and I'll see the doctor again on Friday

  I'm doing good. Making a concerted effort to follow the Brewer diet since my midwife is a stickler about that!

  Still haven't told work yet. I'll probably do it at the end of this week... or maybe not.

  My first prenatal appointment is next Tuesday and I'm very excited. Except that DH won't be there so I'm not sure if I want to try to hear the heartbeat. On the one hand, I want to make sure that things are OK, on the other hand, he really wants to hear it with me... So, I don't know. Maybe I'll call him so he can listen over the phone...

  Things are still uneventful here. This week starts my weekly visits with the OB and I'll have my group B strep test, but that isn't until Friday. We do have all of the "necessary" gear though, so if K comes, we are ready for her!

  I do need to start washing clothes and linens though sooner rather than later, just in case.

  I'm tentatively due on 4/24, I have my first appointment tomorrow and if they are anything like my last practice, I'll have an ultrasound to confirm EDD (my periods are wonky so can't date from date of LMP).  Otherwise, no complications or anything although I did start eating pickles on Saturday (DH said it was the first time he's seen me eat one in 5 years of marriage and 7 years of being together).

  doing well here - nothing to update. Have another appointment this Thursday. Getting ready to schedule my maternity shoot (very good friend is my photographer) and spent the weekend knitting up some nb wool soakers. They are very easy and very addicting. other than that all is well.

  What's the Brewer diet?

  Not much here to report. I'll be in the second tri this week! Ran around all weekend and am still suffering exhaustion and lack of motivation. My next appt isn't for another 2 weeks.

  I'll be 39 weeks on Thursday. Sooo...just waaaaitttinnngg....

  Not much to report. My body hasn't really been giving me any signs. I've got a nasty cold, so I'm really hoping that goes away before I go into labor. I do NOT want to be laboring with a freaking fever and stuffed up head!

  Not a whole lot going on here.  I still have morning sickness.  I can't believe it!  So unfair!   Still waiting on feeling kicks... darn anterior placenta

  On the other hand, I otherwise feel great.  I have my big u/s this week (Thursday), so I'll get confirmation, hopefully, that even though I'm not feeling anything... Nugget is growing and healthy.  

  Wow... almost all the April moms are Team Green?  That's cool

  I have my 3rd midwife appt on weds.  I will have her order an ultrasound and I hope to schedule it for the end of Sept, however we are not planning to find out the gender.

  My grandparents came over on Saturday and surprised us with a BOB Revolution stroller!!! (yay for the REI sale, and they had been vacationing in Oregon - so no sales tax)

  Oh yeah, I think I had my first strange "craving."  I have been veg for so long (except seafood) and yesterday the only thing I could think about was a BLT sandwich.  I'm not sure I have ever had one in my life.  I definitely didn't want to try to cook bacon so I had my husband stop and pick one up from a local restaurant. SOOOO odd!!

  The Brewer diet is a high protein diet that may be helpful in preventing pre-e. Also, it emphasizes a lot of leafy greens and veggies and those are always good!

  I have been having many more Braxton Hicks contractions, and in the last 24 hours have started having infrequent cramping.  Have an appointment tomorrow and I think they'll do my first internal then.  Nesting is going on full force at my house!

  I had an early GD test today.  I just finished up the one hour about and hour ago and not feeling so hot from that.  I have my ultrasound this Friday and DH is still scheduled for leave so it'll be a surprise for him to be there and to find out the gender.  He's going to be so excited when he realizes where we're going.  Still having some minor boughts of morning sickness but I don't think I'm going to get away from it.  All in all doing well.  I've gained 1 or 2 pounds total so I'm still within range.  I can only gain 10-15 max.

  Nothing new to report here!  I have weekly appts now.  Expecting LOTS of fluffly mail this week, WAHOO!  The PnP arrived and is set up, so I feel MUCH more prepared than I used to.... I'm also getting major contractions more often.  They are pretty painful... I'm starting to wonder if I'll really be able to go med-free as much as these "little" ones hurt me.

  Oops I'm really late on the check in!!

  I had my appt on Friday, midwife said I look great, baby hasn't fallen and that she would be out of town Sept 6th so don't have it  then.  She also gave me her cell number for when I do go into labor I can call her and she'll be on stand by, I'm guessing even if she isn't on call which is great news.

  At my prior appt I saw one of the doctors and he told me to show up at L&D when my contractions are 6 min apart or when my water broke, even though I told him I wanted to labor as much as I could at home.  When I asked my midwife, she said that I'll know when to come to the hospital, and that's when she gave me her cell number to call when I started consistent contractions and  when my water breaks.

  She asked if I wanted an internal, and I said no, that if I know how dilated and effaced I was that it would make me anxious.  She seemed to like that answer and told me that if I haven't had the baby by 40 weeks, that is when we will start internals.

  My mom and hopefully sister will be flying in this Saturday.  So I'll be walking tons to try to naturally induce labor (sister wants to be here for it).  Very exciting!!

  I've been meeting with my doula (love her!) and she's suppose to come by to let me borrow her birthing ball and give me her changing table.  Yea!!  Today I plan on putting all my laboring music together.  Lets hope I stick to that.  I'm also about to leave to a car seat class, where they are suppose to give me an infant car seat.   Yea for extra car seat!
