Egg retrieval with local?

Has anyone ever had an egg retrieval with just local anesthesia? This is what is included in my package price but we have the option of having something stronger, but it will cost extra.

    Mine has always been under twilight sedation.  I know someone posted (but it was a long time ago and I am not sure if they are even still on the board) that their clinic didn't use anesthesia.

    i was under twilight anesthesia, too. not sure how i would feel about just a local. i'm best not knowing what is going on.

    in the ET they did give me a valium to keep me calm (not sure if it was really needed, though, b/c nothing gets punctured in the procedure).

    maybe you can get valium w/the local?
