Toys for 18-24 mo girl

Given that I'm due at the beginning of December, I've come to the conclusion that I should probably tackle Christmas gifts this year before Thanksgiviing :).  I'm planning to get Natalie a tea set, new doll and some grocery food toys.  Any other suggestions for an 18-24 mo. girl?

Re: Toys for 18-24 mo girl

  • Does she have a table and chairs? A shopping cart?

In our house the more books the better. At 24 months she is still looking at board books.

If you wanted to get her something bigger you could get her a play kitchen.

  • Purses, doll -bed, stroller, carrier, high chair-

  • Kylie loved her shopping cart around that age. ?She loves purses, dolls, art supplies, books, puzzles. ?She recently got an easel and chair for her birthday and really loves that too.

ETA: ?She loved the play doll stuff I linked in the last post a ton. ?She is huge into playing make believe right now and is constantly taking care of her dolls and telling me why they are crying, etc.?

  • We just got her a playhouse off of Craigslist as an early birthday present.  We need to pressure wash our screen porch but put it in the garage last night and she was super excited.

I think our big Christmas gift this year will be a play kitchen.  She already has a couple of shopping carts and play foods and I just got her a play utensil set and she likes all of those things.

I'm thinking she would maybe also like more baby doll and play stroller, high chair type stuff too.

  • I dont have a girl. but from reading all of your posts...it sounds like Kylie is really enjoying having baby stuff like mommy and can play mommy with her doll. Racey that would be fun for Natalie to feel like she's being like you. Also, the play kitchen is a great idea because in your case u will get use out of it with both girls!!

  • Thanks!  She does have a shopping cart.  We were thinking of getting a table and chairs when we decorate her room but given it's so close to Christmas anyways, it would probably be a good thing to get her at that stage.  I'll definitely look into the play kitchen if not for chirstmas, for her 2nd b-day.  Thanks!

  • All of the above are great suggestions. Ashley loves puzzles, coloring, her tea set, playing with her baby (pushing her in her stroller, feeding, etc), play food and the play kitchen (we do not have one, but there is one at the nanny's and it is her favorite). You are motivating me to start my Christmas shopping early :)
