Butt/Tailbone Pain!!

I don't know what it's called but the last week or so i've been having a severe pinching pain on my right side of my "tailbone" Yesterday i went to do some baby shopping "Finnally picked out the carseat/stroller" THANK GOD, but i was limping because it hurt so bad. I've tried a heating pad, and it helps at night but no luck during the day! i don't know what else to do! My doctor just said that the baby is more then likely pushing on my nerve or something... anyone else having this problem?

    Yup. it's the baby sitting on a nerve causing sciatic pains. I had it on the right side of my butt for weeks. then the baby FINALLY moved & I had no pains... and this weekend now the left side of my butt hurt. Just a little today. But it's common & normal, my Doc. says there is nothing I can do but take some tylenol & put heat on the area.

    I have had this for several days too, but my OB says I'm not far enough along for it to be the baby :(  I have no idea what it is and it is so painful :(

    I had this exact same pain since early on.  I find that if I am walking a lot it gets worse.  Heating pad definitely helped.  During the day I just grin and bear it!   Good luck!

    Yes!!!! I have this pain. I have noticed though that what has seriously helped is sleeping with a pillow between my legs at night and also putting a pillow behind my back. In the last few days the pain has gotten much better to almost disappearing! HTH!
