Working Moms

Todays' blog post is for you ladies.

I'm having a much harder time returning to work after #2, probably b/c I know he's my last.

Re: Todays' blog post is for you ladies.

  • Hi DuffOliver,

I have to say I really LOVE reading your blog and look forward to new postings :) Your posts always make me giggle and brighten up my day.

  • I haven't seen you on here in a long time but I check your blog regularly. It's one of my faves!!
  • ditto - you are the only blog that i read on a consistent basis.  we miss your postings on the nest!

    congrats on the new LO!

  • Aw, thanks, ladies!

I try to get on as much as I can - the back to work transition on less sleep than I've grown accustomed to has me offline a little more. Hopefully that will turn around soon!

  • Hi there!  I had no idea about your blog.  I just read it - THANK YOU for writing this.  You described exactly how I've felt.

I remember those pre-dawn moments with me and the kids.  Priceless.

  • I'm a few months late, but congratulations on your DS!  Is he a good baby?  Any colic?  (I'm krub incognito).  I hope things are going well with 2!
  • Oh, I love that!  I just got tears in my eyes. Great post. :)
  • I couldn't agree more.  And it's worse because we have not decided yet whether #3 may come into existence or remain an idyllic ghost baby.  So I don't even know if this is my last but the thought that he could be has me constantly kissing him desperately, trying to get in all those kisses before he gets old enough like DD to push me away and say "no."  Tough being simulateneously giddy about the thought of giving away maternity clothes, newborn clothes and decluttering my house of baby paraphenalia and practically heartbroken at the thought of not having another little one coming along behind.

  • shouldbe, after we got his formula straightened out, he became the happiest baby ever. So low key and sweet. =) Thanks for asking.

Juggling is interesting, but is worth it. =)

  • YAY! I was thinking about your blog the other day... I always lose the link, for some reason. I've got it in my RSS feeds now Smile

Love the post. I remember those pre-dawn moments, and I miss them, and I'm looking forward to having them again. While they last!

  • Being back to work with two is completely and utterly exhausting...  I guess it was with one as well, but I can honestly say I just don't remember.  Maybe it's the lack of sleep that has erased my memory.  And I can't complain about my kids - they sleep an incredible amount.  It's just that the housework and prep won't do itself after they go to bed.  I keep asking my husband why he gave the housekeeper the day off Smile  Oh that's right - we don't have a housekeeper.

Every day when we go in to look at the kids while they sleep, we will them to stop growing up so fast.  I remember when life used to move so slowly.  And now I'd give anything to slow it down...
