I think choosing a name for your child is such a personal choice, I always thought it was odd that people would seek out the opinions of total strangers. But here I go!
We're having a boy and have a bunch of names in mind, all over the place in style/popularity. Seeking some outside opinions on our ideas, as we keep going back and forth.
MN will be my last name, which is Irish starts with C ends in -ey. Last name is Italian starts with S ends in -one (sounds like ohnee).
I'd prefer a name that is not overly common/popular, DH doesn't really care about that. I just don't want one of those names where in a few years it seems like there are a million popping up (Aiden, Jacob, Owen, Jack, etc).
Desmond, Casey, Sam, Cameron, Miles, Xavier, Taylor, Henry, Calvin

DS #1- Ares Christopher
DS #2- Taj Lee
DD #1 Alba Gray
Baby #4- coming in May
Henry is our boy name, so
for that.
Other than that, I like Calvin and Miles. The others are NMS.
LOVE: Henry, Miles, Xavier
Like: Sam, Calvin
NMS: Desmond, Casey, Cameron, Taylor (the last 3 have more feminine connotations to me)
With your last name, I would avoid names that end in "ee" sound, like Casey and Henry. I do love the name Henry, though (but you may hear it a lot soon).
Of your other choices, I like Desmond, Miles and Xavier. Taylor to me has become a girl's name, and Calvin is an OK name but I don't like the meaning (bald).
Our family blog
LOVE Milo. DH didn't like it. But he was open to the idea of using Milo as a sort of nickname for Miles.
Boy names seem so much harder than girl names! We already had a bunch of girl names that we loved. But most of our boy names we just kinda so-so on.
Thanks for the input, everyone.
