it means your placenta is between the baby and your belly. for me, it means i can barely feel the baby kick. i'm 21 weeks and am just about to feel the little kicks that feel like gas.
I am starting to wonder if I do because I have not felt any movement yet. However I was able to find the heartbeat right away at 10 weeks with my home doppler...was this hard for you if you have one?
I do! Surprisingly I still felt the baby at the same time I felt DS (around 20 weeks), it just took longer for DH to be able to feel them on the outside. They are really really strong now though - I don't notice a difference from my previous pregnancy.
Hopefully with time you'll get the big strong ones too
I do this time but didn't my first time. There is a difference in how I feel the movement.... last time any time he moved it felt clear and strong, this time it feels muddled (so far) if that makes sense, I can tell that there is more between me and baby this time.
my home doppler hasn't picked up anything yet. my sister used it, and she never heard anything even at 40 weeks. so i'm thinking that it's just a POS. my doc hasn't had trouble finding the heartbeat at all though. i didn't know i had it until my 20 week ultrasound. have you had yours yet?
I wonder if I do! Even my midwife couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler I never liked her though and she tried to find MY heartbeat and say it was the baby I was like umm thats ME LOL My new Dr had no issue but I was almost 16 weeks and just this last week I started being able to find it with my home doppler. I guess we will find out on the 11th when I have my big ultrasound.

the only reason I found out was because the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat @16wks so she sent me to get an u/s.

Interesting. SO then I probably don't since at 16 weeks we can find the heartbeat no problem? Just curious.
I do. I didn't feel ANYTHING until 21-22 weeks but as soon as I did feel it, I could feel it from the outside too. I'm pretty sure my placenta is located in the front right because I mostly feel the baby on the front left. I only feel kicks--none of the squirming that I hear other women talk about.

no guarantee, turns out my baby was just up higher than where the doc was looking...

I have it and have been able to find the HB at home since about 14 weeks.Still no "for sure" movement, though.
I have an anterior placenta too, though my dr says it could move later on during the pregnancy. It's still pretty early for me (I'm 18+ weeks) but the doc said I might not feel any movement for a few more weeks still. Heart beat comes in strong with doppler though so I'm not worried.
Re: Does anyone else have anterior placenta?
