My beta is tomorrow and I so want to POAS so I'm not devastated at work tomorrow, but on the other hand I really hate to ruin the surprise if it's good. How many of you POAS'd before IVF beta? Be honest
I have to say I have never POAS before my betas. I couldn't handle false negatives/false positives or being upset before I even had my beta. I don't know how I had the will power but I just couldn't seem to do it. Good luck tomorrow BTW.

I POAS two days before my beta and it was a negative. I was so bummed but then the beta was such a nice surprise!!
So go ahead and POAS!
TTC #1 since 2007. Dx: Unexplained infertility. 4 IUIs in 2008 = BFN. IVF #1 07/09. DD #1 born April 2010 (40w5d). TTC #2 since 2011. Dx: Endometriosis and hypothyroidism. 2 FETs in 2012, BFP 6/12 but m/c @ 7 weeks. IVF #2 06/13. DD #2 born March 2014 (40w1d).
you know I'm a bad example - I started testing daily at 5dp3dt so that I could catch that second line as soon as it appeared. I always need to know what's going to happen before I get the call - I don't want to be surprised. I figure that even though I know it's positive, it's still fun to hear the exact number.
good luck!!

It's an IUI cycle (not IVF) but I am trying really hard not to POAS. If I knew I was going to be at work when I got the call, I think I would just to avoid breaking down in font of everyone. I really hope it's a BFP for you whether you POAS or not. Good luck!!!
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2 After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I wish I hadn't... I had a false positive (possibly leftover HCG booster) that put me on a nice terrible rollercoaster. That was the day before the beta. The next day the beta was zero.
I never POAS unless I'm a week late. That's only happened once in my life and that was before I was TTC. It's an individual choice though!!
Regardless, I hope this is your BFP cycle!!!
TTC #1 since 12/07
SA 9/08=borderline normal
HSG 1/09 found R tube blocked
Multiple IUIs both with oral and injectible drugs from 2/09-2/11
Started domestic adoption process in 5/10, homestudy complete 9/10
Failed adoption after home with baby for 2 weeks 11/10
Blessed through the miracle of private adoption with a son, born 6/6/11 (his grandma's bday) 7lbs 9oz 20.5 inches long! So worth the wait!
Re: freaking out...POAS or not?
I don't POAS.....
but whatever you decide.... I hope the end result is fabulous!!!!!!
I really really hope that it is your BFP.
