freaking out...POAS or not?

My beta is tomorrow and I so want to POAS so I'm not devastated at work tomorrow, but on the other hand I really hate to ruin the surprise if it's good. How many of you POAS'd before IVF beta? Be honest Wink

Re: freaking out...POAS or not?

  • My beta is Tues and I'm dying to POAS as well! DH is really bummed, afraid of bad news...but I'm debating. GL!

  • I have to say I have never POAS before my betas.  I couldn't handle false negatives/false positives or being upset before I even had my beta.  I don't know how I had the will power but I just couldn't seem to do it.  Good luck tomorrow BTW.

  • Dont POAS!  Wait until your beta.

I really really hope that it is your BFP.
  • I POAS two days before my beta and it was a negative. I was so bummed but then the beta was such a nice surprise!!

    So go ahead and POAS!

  • you know I'm a bad example - I started testing daily at 5dp3dt so that I could catch that second line as soon as it appeared. I always need to know what's going to happen before I get the call - I don't want to be surprised. I figure that even though I know it's positive, it's still fun to hear the exact number.

    good luck!!

  • It's an IUI cycle (not IVF) but I am trying really hard not to POAS. If I knew I was going to be at work when I got the call, I think I would just to avoid breaking down in font of everyone. I really hope it's a BFP for you whether you POAS or not. Good luck!!!

  • I did not POAS. I was too scared ot would be a light line and I would find out it was a c/p. I hope you have great news to report whatever you decide.

  • Thanks girls!  I'm going to try to be strong and hold off. ::taking it minute by minute, though::
  • Good luck staying strong!!  I can't wait to hear some good news tomorrow!!!!  GOOD LUCK!
  • I wish I hadn't... I had a false positive (possibly leftover HCG booster) that put me on a nice terrible rollercoaster.  That was the day before the beta. The next day the beta was zero.
  • I never POAS unless I'm a week late.  That's only happened once in my life and that was before I was TTC.  It's an individual choice though!!

Regardless, I hope this is your BFP cycle!!!
