Gap maternity clothes??

I was wondering how they fit? I love motherhood's line but I have seen some cute stuff at gap. I take an XL for motherhood so I was going to order XL for gap unless there stuff runs small or big. I guess I should add that i took an XL pre-preggo, TIA!

Re: Gap maternity clothes??

  • From my experience a small at motherhood runs about the small as gap's maternity.  Hope that helps, have fun shopping!

  • I think they're pretty true to size for the most part.  Pre-pregnancy, I was an xsmall, but my boobs have grown a lot as well as my hips, so I think I'm more of a small now.  I was just there yesterday and I did fit into the xsmalls, but there was definitely no room if I get bigger, so I bought all smalls, which were a little looser, but still fit fine.  I also have a pair of yoga pants from Motherhood that are size small.  You'd probably be ok with the XL.
  • I wear a L at both Gap and Motherhood (I'm actually somewhere between a M and a L but I opted for L). I like that Gap's pants are available in actual sizes.
  • I've found Gap runs the exact same as my pre-pregnancy size. I've gotten 90% of my clothes so far there- I love them!
  • Most of my maternity clothes are from the Gap. I'm usually a medium and noticed that their medium shirts fit wonderful. Pants as well, and they sit low enough that the pocket stretches a ton as you get bigger.
  • Gap Runs true to regular size. I find Old Navy runs big.
  • I think Gap's pants run a little big (at least the sexy boot jeans).  I bought my normal size and they're huge - but I'm not sure if it's because they're ones that fit below the belly, but they fall down and give me a saggy bum within 5 minutes!
  • Agree that the Gap maternity jeans run big.  I fit into the size two below my normal size there (albeit w no room to grow)
