One that I read about that we're doing at mine is the String Game. Each guest tries to guesstimate how big your belly is from your left side to your right side (not all the way around), and cut a piece of string/yarn/ribbon the length they think will fit. Who ever is closest to the actual size wins!
Also we're going to play baby gift bingo, where each guest gets a blank bingo card that they fill in with the gifts they think you will open (bottles, clothes, diaper bag, etc.). As you open the gifts they mark it off if they put it on their card. First two or three to get bingos get a prize!

We are doing baby scategories as one game. Not the kind, where you just get a list of letters where you have to write down a baby related item for each word. One of my hostess' actually came up with an actual scattegories game. If you would like it email me at xoxojami@gmail.com and I can send it to you in an attachment.
Im having a coed shower, and the one game i hinted at was the clothespin game. Everyone gets a clothespin or bead necklace to wear. There is a word to avoid saying, like 'baby'. if you catch someone saying it, you get their clothespin. If you have multiple and someone catches you saying it, you have to give all of your clothespins. Most at end of shower wins!

I went to a baby shower in january and they played this and I hated it! Some guests hated it too because it's a baby shower and people were more nervous about not saying baby then oooing and ahhhing at all the cuteness around them. But, it's your baby shower and you deserve whatever you want
I know of one that I read about in a magazine that I thought was super cute - you get some cute fabric ribbon w/a baby theme to it or of colors that match your decor, than get as many pacifiers as there will be guests. You make a necklace out of the ribbon (can just tie into a knot) but first slide a pacifier through each. Each guest will get a necklace after everyone has arrived to the shower. The game is that anytime you hear another guest say the word "baby" you get to take their necklace... toward the end of the shower, the winner is the guest who has collected the most necklaces/pacifiers..... and then you get to keep them of course
**Edit - this is similar to the one above, only a different item to grab.... you can always choose a different word as well.

One game we played at my shower that was fun was a sock matching game. My sister organized it. She brought a doll, a cell phone, and bag of baby socks. You had to hold the "baby", talk on the phone, and match the socks while being timed. It was fun to see how quick everyone could do it, and it was great because I got to keep all the socks at the end!
We also played Baby Bingo, which seemed to entertain people, but people won pretty quickly since they were able to fill in their own squares, and if they bought a bunch of things they could just put the items they bought in one line and get bingo when their gift was opened.

they did this at my shower....at first I was like "huh?" but it ended up being very cute/I enjoyed it. We played that you only gave up 1 clothespin at a time.
they also did a "what does Mommy want" game where they had different things the baby could inherit (eye color, sense of humor, brains etc) and the guests had to guess if I wanted LO to have mine or DHs (DH has at the shower). Person w/the most correct answers won.
We had a cute game at my shower today...it was a dress the baby relay race. Each team had a baby doll and each person received one item of clothing ie diaper, pants, hat, etc. First team to dress their baby doll won. It was a lot of fun.
This isn't a game, and it would only work if you were having a girl, but my hostess also showed us how to make corker bows and had everyone make a corker bow for my baby girl. It was really neat...then she gave us all printed instructions how to do it. Now I can make them all I want.
We also played the game where a bunch of baby items are on a tray and she showed us the tray twice and then we had to write down all we remembered in a minute.
And they played a guess the baby name game. We aren't telling our name, only initials, until the baby is born. So she printed up a sheet and had everyone guess what her name was. Now I have that for the baby book and my LO can see what every one thought her name would be.
At my shower, we played the clothpin one, guess how many diapers in diaper cake and guess baby food (several jars of puree)
I was thinking to myself today I wish we played one like they had at my godbaby's shower - everyone wrote down their guesses on height and weight and winner was notified after she was born.
I did have several close friends place bets on the delivery date though, nobody won

One is a variation of the tray of baby items. Send the mom-to-be around the room carrying the tray of baby related items (about 20 of them). Tell everyone to take a close look and try to remember all that they see. Then have mom-to-be leave the room. After she is gone you ask the guests questions about the mom-to-be (did her top have buttons, was she wearing earrings, did she have socks on, was her hair up or down, ec) and nothing about the tray. Guests are concentrating so much on the tray they really aren't looking at the mom-to-be!
Another one played at my DD's shower right away was the "Pair of Bloomers" game. Everyone was shown a gift box (square shape) that is wrapped in several layers of different colored tissue paper and told that inside is a pair of bloomers. Whoever takes off the last piece of tissue paper has to wear the pair of bloomers for the rest of the shower. It is a variation of hot potato. Music is started and stops and the person with the box has to take off a layer. I'd say there were about 15-20 layers of tissue paper on the box and there were about 50 guests. When the last piece was taken off the guest opened the box and found 2 flowers (bloomers) in a wrist corsage. It was a hilarious game since people were throwing the box at one another trying not to be "caught" holding it when the music stopped. They were seated at different tables too and it wasn't a problem. You just have to wrap the corsage carefully so it can take a "beating". lol
Another game played is to put several baby items (I think there were 20) in a paper bag (I would suggest cloth bag or new large size sock). Close the end and let everyone "feel" the item for a few seconds. You have to limit the length of time they "feel" it or some people we found out would hold onto an item for 5 minutes! HA HA Anyway, they feel the item and write down what they think it is based on the number on the bag or sock. You need to put some hard ones in there (nursing pad, finger toothbrush, boo boo cold pak, etc).
Yet another one is the name game. My DD knew the name of her baby since he was already born (but you could use the last name). Print at the top of the page the name and put columns under with lines so people can write. The idea is to write down how many names they can think of under each letter. For instance, if the name is ROBERT they would need to write as many names as possible under R (Ruby, Richard, Rowan, etc). You can specifiy boy or girl or if mom doesn't know then both sexes. This is a timed game.
A quick, easy and yummy game (for the winner) is to put M&M's in a baby bottle and ask the guests to guess how many are in it. The closest without going over wins a prize and the baby bottle! This is a game that can be played while the mom is opening gifts. We found that playing baby bingo (at past showers) people do write down what they bought all in a line if they got several things and win quickly. The preprinted ones are the best...or one shower they specified that you could only write down one item that you bought.
I went to a shower a while back and they played the cutest game.
You get 5 or 6 (or more if you have a lot of people coming) candy bars and and you melt them down in the microwave. Then you take the melted candy bars and pour the contents into a newborn diaper (so it looks like poo). Give everyone a piece of paper and have them write down which candy bar they think it is (for an added challenge dont tell them what kind of candy bars there are and pick some not so familiar ones) Who gets the most right after smelling and feeling the "poo" wins! I thought it was really cute...
