Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

My baby and starbucks...

I went to target and decided to get starbucks. DD was reaching for the cup, and I thought she wanted it because it was cold. So I hand it to her, and she takes a huge sip out of the straw! I didn't know she could drink out of a straw, and I tried to take the cup away, and she starts screaming. So here I am with a screaming toddler playing tug-a-war trying to get my cup back. So, my baby likes coffee. The looks I got...

  • Haha! I just got the funniest image in my head of your and your DD fighting over a cup of coffee. That's hilarious!

  • My oldest really likes coffee.  It helps that most people (including me) get starbucks with syrups & whipped cream.  I have caught both my girls at home drinking (& spilling) my coffee.  It is natural to copy whatever WE do!

  • Bwahahaha!  Yeah, I can only imagine the looks you got, but honestly it had to be adorable seeing your child holding a starbucks cup and clinging to it like so many adults do every morning.
  • My DH got an iced coffee one day (regular iced coffee, no flavors or whip cream) and DD was super persistent about wanting it.  He let her have a sip, figuring she would hate it and that would be the end of it... nope, the kid loved it!! He had to fight her off as well.
  •  ok i give up--have a pic of DD drinking my starbucks--she looks so cute and knows it.

I want to see the picture.

  • DD did the same thing yesterday, screaming 'coffee, coffee' at the top of her lungs. I swear I don't let her drink it. Usually I have a straw sippy of milk with a tiny bit of ovaltine in it (to make it look more like Mommy & Daddy's drinks) with me but I forgot it.

    Too funny!

  • lol, my DD loves coffee too. ( even though she's never had any). But when ever I get my cup of coffee she proclaims, "YAY COFFEEE!" lol. I let her play with the cup once it's completely empty too.

I can imagine the looks... poor thing!
