TTC After a Loss
I thought I had a bfp. :(
I woke up this morning and heres what I saw!
So I took a digital and this is what I got.
Im sad now. And as far as my temp for today..I dont even think thats right. I was up until 3:30 am waiting for DH to get home and my temp time is 5:30 am. It probably was a temp drop though. *sigh*

UGH! that totally sucks! BOOO!
(The line tests do detect HCG at around 20 units, while the digitial require 50 units, not to give false hope though...)
Someone else said that!! I thought that the digis were MORE sensitive. Thank you!! I know it could still be a bfn a few days from now but Im glad someone mentioned it.

woahhhhh.
I took one of the $ store tests and got something similar to this - i just thought that i'd got a bad test. My second line was a little more horizontal though.

Don't give up hope yet. The last time I was KU the old school version was positive and the digital was negative. I was indeed KU and therefore I never use digital tests.

Congratulations! A line is a line, right? Hopefully in a few days you will have more HCG which will give you a BFP on a digital.
To put all of the "I've heards" to rest-- there really is no question, there is just the science of how the tests work. Inarguably digital tests require more HCG to register a positive than early non-digital pregnancy tests.
An early PG test requires a min. of 15-25 miU of HCG. A digital test (and a non-digital standard PG test) requires a min. of 40-50miU. Here is a helpful chart: https://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html
IMO, the lure of a digital test is not that it is more accurate, but that it makes people feel more secure than seeing a faint line.
oh gosh...so sorry....I hate seeing those two words but this is why I only use digital tests...those lines can really play tricks on you!! Did your period show yet? Maybe it's just too early! Keep your chin up!
