s/o: much cheaper way to get wool for longies

the best place to get wool for longies on the cheap is to find a 100% wool sweater at a garage sale or thrift store and frog it - there are tons of websites to teach you which sweaters can be frogged and how to do it - here's one:

I've gotten gorgeous yarn that way and only pay a few bucks for tons of wool, cashmere and other great yarn. it's also a really great way to upcycle and make something beautiful out of something that is not so pretty. n

    Hmmm I'm going to have to dig that sweater out tomorrow. I have a gorgeous (but way too small on me now) pale blue Angora sweater that I was going to sew into some longies or a soaker but maybe I could frog it and knit some even better longies instead!
