My baby has been fussy at night lately. It's like she's fighting her sleep. She'll start wiggling, throwing her arms/legs and cries a bit. She rarely cries (only when she's hungry) so I was wondering if you have any reccommendations? TIA!!

every child is different, my first girl liked the swing or to be walked around, this baby likes to be patted hard on her back while ?laying on my chest. they are normally overtired and need help getting to sleep.
Definitely swaddle her! I'd also try getting her to bed earlier...sounds like she may be over tired and your missing her natural "I'm ready for bed" window. Try watching for her sleep cues earlier (drowsy eyes, slower sucking on a pacifier, bottle or breast, less activity overall). When she starts to exhibit these signs, put her to sleep. If you're feeding her before bed, try her last feeding swaddled. This worked wonders for DS--he LOVES being swaddled.
sorry, forgot to mention, she hates to be swaddled and I watched The happiest baby on the block last night. Some of the stuff helped, but not like it did in the DVD.

Totally normal. Mine did and still does this at bedtime. She just fights sleep. I wrap her tight (used to swaddle arms, but phased that out) and hold her tight so she settles down. This helps a lot. I also try and keep lights and sound low and shoosh her. Watch "The Happiest Baby on the Block" on youtube.com for tips on the 5 s's. Most moms on here swear by this -- just use the tips that work for you.
Also, just when you think you master on soothing skill they change preferences on you. Just be patient. I've walked and jiggled lightly for hours. I'm starting to wear holes in my floor! and feet!

My DD hated beings swaddled also and broke free of ever one of them, but for sleep time it really helped. Just let her fight against it a little bit and she'll settle down. Don't be too quick to get her our of it. What's happened is she is just overly tired. I learned the hard way to watch for a sleepy girl. By yawn 3 I'm in for a hard bedtime. At your babies age, she'll only last 1-2 hours awake so be aware of that and help her get some good sleep.

Re: fussy baby at bedtime?
5 S's!
And no stimulation, take LO to a quiet dim room.
