I really don't have any friends/keep in touch with people I went to high school with. Even though I graduated in 2004, I cut contact fairly quickly. I just have NOTHING in common with anyone that I knew...I went to a large school but most people are still hanging around home, working where they worked in high school, no degree, single..not me at all.
Just went on Facebook...two girls I went to high school with (I honestly had to do some searching before I realized who they were) wanted to add me as a friend. After looking at their profiles I realized one of them has 4 children (she had her first just after we graduated in 2004) and is pregnant AGAIN. The other has 3 children, all with different fathers (or atleast that's what her info says) and she is pregnant again.
SERIOUSLY? You are kidding me, right? They are 23 years old (like me), no jobs, no college degree, not married, one still lives at home with her parents and they can/do have 4+ kids and DH and I can't have one?
How sickening... them have tons of kids and my being so bitter..

Re: Ahhh...how I hate Facebook..
Tara & Dave - TTC since September 2006
PCOS - dx 1999 (amenorrhea) | freakishly long fallopian tubes
Hypoglycemic | thyroid issues | severely anemic
Multiple Clomid cycles of 50, 100, 150 - absolutely no response
Follistim 50/100 | Follistim 75/125 | Follistim 100/150 IUI - all BFNs
Converted IVF - BFP - m/c | FET - BFN | IVF #2 = BFN
IVF #3
Yup...she just started popping them out...her and the father (at least all of her kids have the same father, unlike the other girl..) are married..they just got married this spring though. So DH and I went about things the "right way"..and they didn't...looks like their way was really the right way though..at least they can get pregnant..

I only have family on mine and made myself unsearchable. Maybe you can tell them it's family only, that way they won't be offended if you don't add them and you won't have to deal with seeing their info?
On another note, I know how you feel about not having anything in common with your friends. A lot of the people I used to know are still in the same spot, partying in their 30's like they are still 21, married with a few kids or have no children by choice. It's hard to have a normal life and deal with IF.

Madelyn,
This sounds like my life EXACTLY! I graduated in 03 and I feel like I'm the only one without kids, and the only one married, educated, employed, and not living with my parents. It makes me so MAD. At least we know that we will be able to provide a way better life for our kids when we finally get them.
Hang in there. I try to stay away from Facebook now for the same reasons.?
