I was thinking about ordering the kit and registering. I just read a story about a little boy in NYC(hopeforkai.com) and it got me thinking. Did Anyone here do it?

I registered when DH was diagnosed with Leukemia 5 1/2 years ago. Luckily his meds. keeps his in remission. We did go and register him to find a match in case we do want to have a transplant.

Yes. I registered last year and have had a link to the site in my siggy since then.

yes. DH and I registered when a good friend was diagnosed w/Leukemia. DH ended up being a near perfect match for a complete stranger and did the max donation allowed. He says it wasn't nearly as painful as he thought and he'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I registered years ago when I was in college. I actually got called about two years ago b/c I was a partial match for somebody needing a transplant. Unfortunately, I wasn't a full match when they did the rest of the testing. I hope that person did find a match.

I registered not very long ago when someone here said it was free at the time to do so.

both DH and I are registered. Last year another mom from daycare came down with cancer - so a huge group got together and facilitated the drive.
